You are here: Index Gemstones and the Chemical ElementsIf we want to understand the vibrational properties of gemstones properly then we need to classify them into groups according to the chemical elements that make them up. An initial way of dividing the gemstones into non-arbitary groups is by noting there levels of complexity. For example the group at the simplest level of complexity would contain all gemstones (or other materials) made up purely of one chemical element. Diamond in pure form would belong to this category because it is composed entirely of the chemical element Carbon. The next level of complexity would contain all those gemstones that are made up from the combination of exactly 2 chemical elements such as _________ which is composed of ______ and________. The next level of complexity would contain all those gemstones that are made up from the combination of exactly 3 chemical elements such as _________ which is composed of ______ and________and__________. Each level would contain only gemstones composed of a particular number of chemical elements. Thus we can begin to discern the true non-arbitary properties of individual gemstones. Arranging the gemstones in this manner is only the first step towards full understanding. We need to then organize the gemstones at each level in a logical non-arbitary manner. There are a number of ways of doing this and many ways should be tried and studied. Each method of organization should be non-arbitary, that is it should be derived from the actual physical properties of the chemical elements. For example the electron number, the polarity etc etc.
Then we can add to each gemstone the traditional and modern supposed metaphysical properties associated with it. Is there a correlation between our gemstone organization pattern and their supposed properties? In other words do the gemstones in our mini organizational sets share similar theaputic properties or other metaphysical properties? These methods and questions constitute proper scientific investigation and yet they seem to be unheard of by Gemstone Therapists. Many new discoveries in Gemstone Therapy could be made by taking note of the chemical elements that make them up. Gemstone theapy could be uplifted to a whole new level of clarity and effectiveness gaining the respect of material scientists and integrating into the more and more unifield field of theraputic techniques.
