Number and Synchronicity

The word Synchronicity was first coined by Carl Jung the Swiss psychologist to describe the "temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events.". Although the term implies coincidences that occur in relation to time the definition is usually widened to cover other meaningful or remarkable coincidences.

Synchronicity provides an external clue to inner affinities and acts in accordance with the law of sympathetic vibration.

Even if there was nothing to the above idea the juxtoposition of ideas, concepts and phenomena which arise from coincidences provide invaluable inspiration and creative .

When 2 objects or sets of phenomena share the same number in some way we are given the opportunity to explore and try to discover if there is more to the relationship than mere coincidence. Of all the types of synchronicity such as events happening simultaneously, phenomena with similar name or form sharing other unepected properties and subjective feelings that are often quickly forgotten Number Synchronicities are often the most intriguing and rich in hidden meaning. Numbers are eternal and unchanging: all phenomena are subject to their laws and yet they are so subtle and empty that like colorless crystal they do not obscure

Regarding phenomena that share the same number there is often hidden mathematical relationships or other definite reasons why the phenomena are connected. In such cases the term Synchronicity does not really apply. It is the trivial, the temporary and the complex where synchronicities shine as signposts.

These and other suchlike considerations, always have, and always will prevail with mankind, to believe that there is a Being who made all things, who has all things in his power, and who is therefore to be feared."
