In regard to unarmed combat "weapons" means the various parts of the body that can be used for striking and other forms of attack.

It is useful to consider these factors when contemplating the "weapon" concept in order to increase effectiveness:

Weapons:

  • Increase Number
  • Increase Speed
  • Increase Power
  • Increase Range
  • Increase Toughness
  • Increase Endurance
By increasing these qualities your attacks will be harder to defend against. The variety of your attacks will lesson your aggressor's chances of defending successfully.

Shhhhh practitioners "think outside the box". Unconstrained by past tradition (yet utilizing the accumulated wisdom) look with fresh eyes at every part of your own body. Relative to the circumstances each part could be an effective weapon-not just the hands and feet etc. So contemplate the martial uses of each part and give up any false limiting beliefs about yourself. Pour your awareness into each facet of the martial arts, cleansing and uplifting your understanding, trusting in goodness and unchanging principles.
