The Creature from the Black Lagoon is a classic monster movie as are most other Universal Monster movies. The original Wolfman is another great movie.

I am also enjoying some of the old Sherlock Holmes episodes and movies. 

Brighton Rock (1947) is a classic fim noir. Anyone seen it? This review online may contain spoilers:
