Cure Tooth Decay for Vegetarians

Here are some tips to help prevent and maybe even cure tooth decay. This guide is designed for vegetarians as I believe that is the correct diet for humans. See here for more details on this. Despite the correctness of the vegetarian diet how to achieve an optimum teeth friendly lifestyle is still difficult and obscure. Why is this? It is the deep ignorance prevelant in society and in the dental establishment that cause these diffuclties.

As a general rule the natural way is best. Many of the artificial and man made 'improvements and innovations' are actually backward steps harmful to the physical body and other aspects of the human microcosm.

How possible is it to prevent and even cure tooth decay? So called modern dentistry leaves a lot to be desired. In my understanding it has long been known in certain circles that teeth may be re-mineralized by the saliva when conditions are in harmony with that natural process. Dr Weston Price discovered that indigineous tribes had much better teeth than those eating 'modern diets' Study his book here: Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

Fat Soluable Vitamins
The fat soluable vitamins A, D E and K are what your teeth need to maintain themselves.

Metal Cutlery
Does it make sense to put in the mouth items that are harder than the tooth enamal? By using metal cutlery we are making it likely that our lovely smooth ennamal will become scratched. The use of metal knifes, forks and spoons is not an essential unavoidable fact of life. It is only a cultural practice based on ignorance of what is best for the body.

Strontium
http://www.findhomeremedy.com/effective-home-remedies-for-tooth-pain/ Strontium This trace element is thought to replace calcium in the body, including in bones and teeth. Studies have shown that dental caries (cavities) are related to the amount of strontium in the water. When tooth cavity rates in two neighbouring districts in Greece - one with high levels of strontium in the drinking water, the other with low amounts - were compared, the incidence of tooth decay was significantly lower in the high-strontium area (J Dent Res, 1983; 62: 989-91). Indeed, evidence suggests that the least caries were found in areas with strontium levels of 5.4 and 8.3 mg/L (the US Environ-mental Protection Agency considers 4 mg/L safe for human health) (Nutr Rev 1983; 41: 342-4). In rats (and so may not apply to humans), strontium increased tooth dentine (beneath the enamel) and reduced experimentally induced caries (Arch Oral Biol, 1982; 27: 667-71). Strontium-rich foods include fish, wholegrains, kale, parsley, lettuce, Brazil nuts and molasses. A typical diet provides 2-3 mg/day of strontium.

Phytic Acid
Phytic Acid is harmful to teeth and is contained in many foods such as wheat and oats. Phytic acid chelates biological calcium and causes rickets.the ancients had special processes used to prepare the food and reduce the phytic acid.

Phosphorus
A study of the famous Deaf Smith County Texas, the "town without a toothache"-because of their mineral-rich soil producing fabulous butter fat-found that its wheat contained six times the amount of phosphorus as normal wheat.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 The B-complex vitamins, particularly B6, support ‘good’ mouth bacteria while discouraging those that cause cavities (NY State Dent J, 1959; 25: 303-7). In pregnant women, those supplementing with 20 mg/day of B6 had significantly fewer cavities and fillings. Lozenges were more effective than capsules (Am J Clin Nutr, 1962; 10: 512-5).
