Variscite

Description
A hydrated aluminium phosphate, it is a relatively rare phosphate mineral. It is sometimes confused with Turquoise, however, Variscite is usually greener in color.

Properties
Variscite relieves stress and depression.
Variscite can give courage and inner strength.
Variscite helps strengthen cells and tissues, blood problems, nervous system, kidneys, muscles and bones.
Variscite is used for male reproductive healing, including impotence.
Variscite can help calm the mind and help it be still, which makes it an excellent stone for meditaiton.

Etymology
German Variscit, from Medieval Latin Variscia, ancient name for Vogtland, region of Germany where the mineral was discovered.
