Scientific Theories

The word Science is derived from the Latin word scientia meaning "knowledge". Scientia probably originally meant "to separate one thing from another, to distinguish" related to scindere "to cut, divide,". The Universe is One entity but we divide the various phenomena into categories to enable intellectual understanding. Some phenomena is so subtle that it cannot be dectected with the material instruments that are available to modern scientists. However there are scientific methods available to investigate these subtle realms.
